I May Not Know Jack, But I Dig His Purse!

I spent a small portion of this extremely busy week once again contemplating the “coolness” of my Man Purse . . .

On Monday I started a new job, and I've been busier than a one-armed paper hanger. So many binders and training manuals. And I've decided that I need something to carry all my crap in while at work. I'll be moving around the plant quite a bit, doing different jobs as assigned, and hate to try and juggle my books and medication and other accouterments. So I dug out this book bag I bought several months ago. It’s heavy-duty, has a bunch of pockets inside, and a lifetime guarantee. But I wonder if it’s a bit too girlie looking . . .

Some of the folks at work will likely give me shit about it. Which doesn’t bother me, per se; I am confident enough in my manhood to carry a pink BlackBerry . . .

. . . which doesn’t really look pink in the picture, but you are an imaginative bunch. And what’s up with that look?! It’s so Attack of the Unibrow Man! Maybe if I struck a manly pose . . .

Nah! Perhaps I should go for the Jack Bauer Man Purse . . .

Now there’s a manly mug!

So what say you, dear Reader? Ditch the purse? Ditch the Unibrow? Both? Are they fatal wardrobe malfunctions? That's our topic today, and I'm up for any and all suggestions . . .

Just commenting so I can subscribe. I'll be at work all day, something I am so NOT used to, but will try to sneak a peek at my BB every so often to respond to comments.

My Unibrow is a constant topic of discussion around these parts, so I won't be offended if you tell me to ditch it. Just understand that is has become so much a part of me that doing so will not be easy. I've shaved it and waxed it on occasion, but I always feel lost without it. And my wife sorta digs it . . .

Ditch the unibrow.

The man bag isn't so bad!

Ditch the unibrow.

Get a backpack. Messenger bags (like Mr. Bauer) or the one you have are for chicks.

LOL!! I have the same phone.. The bag... not so much. But if it works for you that is all that matters! Great blog.

I personally wouldn't want to have a unibrow. However, you are obviously comfortable in your own skin (or brow). I say go with what works for you.

I saw that bag at the bookstore the other day. I kinda like it, but I am a woman and a reader, so maybe not the best judge of that.

My husband leans toward bags/backpacks that are made from some sort of outdoorsy company such as can be found at REI and the like. But that's probably because he wants them to be multifunctional for outdoor & indoor use.

Again, to each their own. My philosophy is if it is comfortable and functional, then go for it.

Oh Brian...bwahahahaha.

Okay I'm going to say if you don't mind the UniBrow and your wife doesn't mind it then who am I to say to get rid of it?

BUT... Get rid of IT! ;)

Like someone said above...there are man bags...that one looks like the bag I take to church for my kids to stay quiet...LOL but again if your okay with it...whose to tell you otherwise.

(If money is the reason you don't want to separate your eyebrow we can stick a donate button on the side bar) hehehehe I had to, I couldn't resist.

Aw Shelle, you're a hard one to please...LOL.

Brian, I was going to apologize for laughing the pictures but after reading your comment, you seem to be used to people laughing at your unibrow so hey, I'm not going to say I'm sorry, whatsoever.
LOL

And I'd say ditch them both but see, your wife dig your unibrow so you should keep it. After all, her opinion should be the one that matters most. And if you're comfortable with the bag, the I say, posh on everyone, keep it. Who knows, you just might start up a trend at work.

Oh..just a little side note, the unibrow does look scary...but it's a good thing I don't have to look at it everyday..LOL.

I say ditch them both. Not a fan of a "Man purse" I know thats not what it is, but still, looks a little to feminine for me. lol Your pictures crack me up! LOL I say get a backpack of sorts. still has pockets for different items, etc.

Happy Day on the new job!!

The man purse and the pink blackberry is good, but the unibrow definitely needs to go.

The Jack Bauer man purse is also good.

Dude, don't listen to these guys. Keep the unibrow, ditch the bag.

The unibrow needs to go. Get those pre-waxed strips and press it on and pull off. Easy. Not that painful. Only have to do it once a month, maybe less.

The bag itself is pretty cool. The problem with it is the length of the straps. You need straps that you can sling over your torso, like Jack Bauer or Indiana Jones. It's a handsfree kind of thing.

Ditch. The. Unibrow. Fo. Sho.

ok, so if you won't ditch the brow, at least thin it out! It will give your face so much more definition!

The bag it's not that bad, but both together not so good. I say choose one or the other.

the uni brow is so distracting I cant read for looking at it! It's stopping folks from seeing how much fun you are. You need to be fun guy with bag not uni brow guy!
